@mydegeneration: I just thought of waiting for aire to get the final version of source code/whatever is required instead of beta/alpha version from sony and build one with optimization. are you using aire's ics kernel & rom [above mentioned]? if yes, can you share some feel good factors?

I belive this is for the official ICS firmware (.562). If you haven't heard, official ICS is already out (look for the thread). Now, if you want the google apps for ICS, you're gonna have to: find them, download them, put them in the sd card and flash in recovery mode because this rom doesn't include them.

This is the only kernel and rom I use for ICS. Smooth UI (no lag) achieved with No-Frills CPU application (got it from market).
Min freq: 122 MHz
Max freq: 1.402GHz
Governor: smartassV2
I/O scheduler: noop

Battery life is amazing.

I also added the Xperia S theme/mod (find the thread) with the fixed Home.apk launcher (find within xperia s theme thread) but kept the stock xperia ray music player and widget for ICS. *minor other bug: media shortcut and weather widgets don't work on this theme/mod.

Anyways, good luck.

Even aire's repack of official ICS ROM is slow, and looks like source code will not help...
Currently, the new wave started on 4pda forum: we're testing iriijo's MIUI ICS. It's not fast as GB repack, but much more interesting than official ICS.

Yesterday i installed Aire's ICS kernel & repack ROM and did an factory reset. It has the lag comparing to aire's GB kernel & repack rom. Now i'm back to GB. Decided to wait for aire's next ICS update.

hi,
i've flashed your kernel and rom. it is greatest rom i have ever flashed. i was about to give up using ICS until i used yours. RayOnium v5 is slow compearing. JJ`s Hybrid Rom is fast but missing stock keyboard with no T9 support.(even sony's stock keyboard does not work with version 2.0)

I've flashed almost all rom at the rom list on ray's main page.
this has stock keyboard (not the black one) and full support T9 of my language(Turkish)
it is stable no problem up to now
the google apps was not installed. i flashed google apps package, and they work with no problem.
thanks
