Talking [DEV] [ICS] "Encryption Unsuccesful" solution

After about 2 weeks of screwing around with my phone, giving up and switching back to my old eris, and thinking it was just hosed, I finally found a solution for anyone with the "Encryption Unsuccesful" message in ICS. You must perform the HTC bootloader unlock via htcdev.net. After you do this, you may

./fastboot erase cache
and
./fastboot erase userdata
(or in my case, select "clear storage" in the main bootloader menu)

which will restore your phone to a usable condition.

Nevermind... Still hosed. Admins, you may delete this thread as it is useless, or perhaps it will gain some support from those who know better than I?

DONATE TO ME
The way I fixed mine was to do a complete wipe in CWM (factory reset/wipe all user data, format boot and system) then flash my ROM of choice.

Thanks Pons. For some reason I couldn't wipe in CWM 5 but 3.0.0.8 worked just fine for me.
