Default [Q] Andorid ported with C# code

Guys, I have read in engadget that a developer ported the android version by replacing the java code with C#. CLaims that it increased speed and battery usage to a great extent, because C# is more machine friendly than JAVA.

Does any one has more information ? Can this be somehow used for any of our builds. Just a thought.
