Just download the new hack kit and flash the appropriate hboot from the options menu. If you are currently using a 2.xx hboot, choose the 2.xx hboot, otherwise go with the earlier one. Using the wrong one can cause problems when you flash anything new.

the upload was a bad file. I have replaced it. Re-download and it should be fine.

I have no idea what the requirements of said ICS custom roms are. The hboots are based on stock partition tables. If the stock hboots are fine, then these should be too.

Revolutionary is equally amazing (okay even moreso) for the devices it supports.

Sit tight, I think good tools are on not far over the horizon for the devices you mentioned.

No and No.

The hack kit is a collection of tools, some pre-existing and a couple of new ones - that will not work on newer devices. The exploits this collection uses to do what it does have been closed. So no, not possible to do it similarly.

Others are already working on those devices you mentioned and I am confident there will be a solution.

I have a hard rule about not taking donations from individuals for myself and I am not interesting in supporting any more HTC devices under any circumstances, particularly since that lying bastard HTC CEO (Peter Chou) will not stand by his word regarding the unlocking of HTC bootloaders. Not only are the unlocks severely gimped, but they are not unlocking all of them, HTC does not provide proper kernel source in a timely fashion as required by the linux GPL and I am sick to death of the clown phone direction HTC high end smartphones have taken.

So again - emphatically - no. Absolutely not.

You're welcome. It's psuedo ENG S-OFF that has the features most people want - flashing images/booting boot images - and it's safe for devices shipped with Gingerbread, which the leaked HTC S-OFF hboots are not.
