Is there a way to see what is accessing my GPS? Spare parts used to, but not anymore.

Oh no, now I have to link you to one of the engineers that disproved the wiping battery stats argument.

yea, i read that and wouldn't wipe em and noticed my battery drains faster than when i would. it might just be a placebo affect for me, but i'll stick to (what i think) works!

has anyone else used the PureMotive battery mod with CM9? I am thinking of trying with a8, but don't want to waste my time if no one else has had good results.

My results aren't indicative of the performance of PureMotive's mod. My problem was caused by something else (WiFi-related, I think).

If an app is able to work.. there has to be a way to get the native to work... figure out what internal custom driver the app is using and incorporate it possibly?

mongoose helix indicated it was a problem with the encoding the native camera uses for video. illusion uses a different encoding.

I think I got my battery problem figured out. The phone was apparently repeatedly trying to connect to a just-out-of-range WiFi network. The repeated attempts kept the phone awake and killed the battery. I removed the offending network from my list and now my battery life seems about the same (which was very good) as I got before with CM7 and Incredikernel.

On another topic, would it be possible to get >2 finger multitouch in this ROM? CM7 had it and both Incredikernel and Tiamat support it.

Does anyone else have an issue with the auto brightness setting for the display? I have it checked but it doesnt seem to change at all in different lighting conditions and seems to be way too bright in low light.
