Default [Q] 80180048 error when trying to update to 7.10.7740.16

Hi All,

I manage a number of Samsung Omnia 7 handsets (Optus branded) and during an update to 7.10.7740.16 it fails with the error number of 80180048.

I have tried almost everything to try and get these handsets to update, but I keep on going round in circles, I contact Optus, they tell me to contact Samsung, who in turn tells me to contact Microsoft.

And no one seems to be able to tell me why these handsets are failing to update.

I've gone through every support site I can find, and I have no idea if there is something wrong with the handset, or something wrong with what I'm doing.

If any one has any suggestions that would be fantastic.

If the fix doesn't work you can update manually with CAB to the 7.10.7740.16 here:

[CAB] Official WP7 Updates List: 7.10.8107 + ALL LANGUAGES complete + OEM updates

I'll look at that fix, but if it involves "unlocking" or "rooting" the handset, I won't be able to do that as these are handsets that my company has deployed to one of our clients, and we do not wish to void warranty as of yet.

Thanks Osso17 anyway =)

No unlocking needed for CAB sender, it's just a way to push updates to your phone.
