yep it is there.. good. I was going to add it to mine so happy it is there. BUT I wonder if it needs to be wifi.supplicant2_scan_interval = 100 since the Prime uses 2 supplicant files. You should ask him how that changes things.

I restored and it is ok now...Sucks it did it. Might try it again, since I can run the restore again..

But lesson learned. Always do a full backup before deciding to make changes.

ill make sure to add to the OP that being unlocked may conflict with this. As this is the only difference between yours n mines.

so you rebooting and it just went to a black screen? any Asus logo or anything? can you get into recovery and reflash your rom or restore a backup?

Anyone with insight into how he get back using the old file from state he is in now?

If he is unlocked he should have access to cwm and hopefully has a backup... restore time!

For the unlocked guys, it might not be a bad idea to do a backup first then copy your original build prop and just start adding 1 tweak at a time, until it breaks of course lol. I did this lots with my Galaxy phone. You can download notepad + yes it is +(plus). then you can edit the build prop (properly with out screwing up the format) on the pc and move it to the phone.

I'm on cm9 so I may look at this later.....

good point, ill ask him. my wifi does connect alot faster now. I've noticed a good increase in battery life. With this mod & Ezoverclock , I can set my balanced mode to 1Ghz and everything still moves very fast n fluid. I only just got this and installed last night. So still testing battery life but so far I see good improvements. I think that wifi scan interval reduction is helping prime save alot more battery. I will still check with developer on what you said. There are 300 users running their own version of this also and is doing well. I would think they would have the same wifi setup. I did notice alot of 300 users are going through what we did at first. alot unable to tether unless they use your wifi tethering fix. this makes me think they actually on a older firmware than us. you would think with 300 being new, they should be able to ad hoc tether out the box like the prime can now.

I'm glad to hear you got it back restored. you had me sweatin..lol. didn't want to be the cause of you possibly bricking device

you hit it on the nail though, full backup before making any changes. I can't lie. when I first tried this last night, I was scared I was going to brick my prime. Because I hear alot of horror stories here from people messing with build prop and bricking their device. So this is my first step before I finally bite the bullet and unlock eventually. I'm anxious to try out AOKP. I love all those settings in Rom Control.


On another note, I think this may have solved my gaming issue. For like a whole month I haven't been able to play my shadowgunTHD. it would freeze/crash only moments after I start playing. Well today, after this mod I installed last night, I was able to have my prime set to 1Ghz and Play SHADOWGUNTHD for the longest time. It played great and no slowdown, freeze, or crash. it was the longest I've been able to play this game in over a month. So i think this custom build prop might of affected gaming issue for the better. I wonder if the increase in Dalvik cache size has anything to do with this. I'm not sure but I know after I installed this custom build prop, I haven't had any games crash. or even any browser crashes or made to wait. everything has been running so smoothly ever since last night.

I would love to try this, but I am confused on the instructions for someone who is on 100% stock, not rooted, unlocked etc...can someone please explain in "dumb man terms"

what, you not even rooted? lol. this is for rooted users. developer said it might be possible for 100% stock users to do this through adb. But being rooted makes this so much easier. you will have to ask the developer in his original thread on how to do it that way. On the first page of this thread, someone else asked the same thing basically. I replied with what the developer said when someone in his thread asked the same thing. If you want more layman's method on how to adb, it'll be best to ask developer himself in his original thread unless someone else here can chime in on it. I would figure you have to set up Android SDK, drivers, & adb on your computer first. then hook it up to the prime. then adb push the commands.

if you thinking of doing all of that, you might as well root. it will make this alot more simple plus you have the benefits of rooting. Main one being able to do a simple install of the app, Ezoverclock, and be instantly overclocked Also can install adaway and dramatically speed up browser. since it blocks ads and flash ads. time to bite the bullet buddy. I see you're getting curious. Time to root! lol

I tell you one thing.... I'm not getting any freezes or white screen flickering on Dark Meadow since this mod! I can now exit to the home screen and open another app then come right back to Dark Meadow where I left off as if I never left. I haven't had to reboot the thing.

Oh crap lol! For some reason I have been nervous to root, but I guess its time too

ght, I got stuck. Renamed the old prop, but didn't pull it. Anyone have an OG prop and instructions on pushing it through ADB? Thanks! I am rooted, but not unlocked, got the blank screen.
