The commuter case for the galaxy note actually looks pretty darn good also. And amazon is selling it for $28.

thanks!
Yeah, I see a little of the "oily" look on my screen. Unfortunately that might be a dealbreaker for me and I may send this back and get a commuter. I like the extra protection and the holster, but I love the screen on the Note even more.

do you have a separate screen protector on as well, or just using the otter box one?
i wonder if having a seperate screen protector on would fix that?

I just have the OtterBox one on at the moment. It's a tight fit as it is...I'm not sure if you could fit another screen protector in there.

Not sure about this case but on a phone made by a fruit company, there was room for additional SP. Some even remove the Otterbox SP and just use an different one.

yeah, I remember quite a few folks just popped the otter box screen protector out of the top frame, and used their own with no problem..

Only issue I see with that is the build up of crap between the case and SP if there's any gaps.

I've popped the plastic screen protector out of every Otterbox I have ever owned, (at least 8 different ones) and while it does allow extra dust into the case, I HATE screen protectors. I have never had a scratch on ANY of my phones. I refuse to use them, as it takes away from the device.
