yeah as said it's not even close to bricked yet. Just try a different port (or different computer) and reflash in odin (even though it says "firmware update has encountered an error" that it should still be in download mode if you hold vol up/down while plugging in the USB)

The nice thing about the Rogers Infuse is you don't ever have to do anything to it that could potentially cause a hardbrick

Thank you guys for the help! My phone is now running

Now that I have the kernel running, what do I need to do in order for me to install custom roms?

If you have the rooted kernel working just flash any custom gingerbread rom (wipe first)

for the two ICS roms (CM9/AOKP) you flash it, it will freeze when you try to reboot it (kernel change), you battery pull and manually enter CWM (Power + VolUp +VolDown), wipe (plus format system/data/cache from the "mounts and storage" menu), reflash w/gapps, and you will be good to go.

Were you able to unlock your phone using this method?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1176886

Just want to make sure it works for my rogers infuse as it doesn't seem like a lot of rogers users have tried it

Also, when I am installing the custom rom, do I need to enable lagfix or disable lagfix?

I didn't unlock my phone, i didn't see a need to.

Voodoo lagfix is your choice, i don't know if any roms require it.

I was just curious as Infused v2 wanted people to have lagfix enabled to install the rom.

I also unlocked my phone with that method. I now have to get a non rogers sim to check if my phone is truely unlocked.

Default no Data after root

I followed the instructions and rooted my Dad's Roger's Infuse. After the root, google market/play was missing, and I could not figure out how to get it back, so I used Odin_UXKG3_rooted_no_bootloaders_v2.zip, and everything seemed to be fine except that now the phone now has no data capability. Calling, SMS, and WiFi are all working fine, but no data.

Has anyone else had this issue? any ideas how I can fix it?
