The E120S does have LTE2600 but I'm not sure if it'll run 4G in HK. At least no one here have tried it.

Flashing Modems will not help, because there is NO WAY you can change the bandwidth of your modem, it's a hardware issue, not software. Why do you think Samsung have 3 different variations (S/L/K) of the same phone? So that they can accept different bandwidths.

And honestly, I wouldn't even think about flashing modems from a different phone (or anything else for that matter). It's just too dangerous. Think about your new phone being HARD-BRICKED! Surely u wouldn't want that to happen.

That's my 2 cents anyway.

Have you tried installing 2G/3G toggle apps on the play store? Maybe that will help. I'm not too sure.

From my memory when I had my e120s, you can disable data, but there's no way of switching from 3G to 2G. Stock rom anyways. Not too sure about TL roms.
Enter Hidden Service menu by dialing
Code:
319712358
K/S variants enter password 774632
L variant enter password 0821
From there you can change the network settings and a few other things

I have tested it on mine and it works fine (K version)
you can also access LTE/3G toggle by dialing

Code:
*147359#
though this might be network dependant

You should do some searching before post.

Honestly speaking, I do not think HD lte will roll out internationally. It's too late. S3 is announcing today and the specs are better. I do not see anyone want HD lte over the S3.

My advice if you want custom ROMs, sell the phone once s3 comes out.

I had my e120s for about 4 months before selling it. Just too restricted with limited ROMs. I'm now a very Happy Note user.

If that helps , just click Thanks

After your message I am really confused about my phone's version. I was thinking that my version is 120K since in the settings => about phone => model number the version is shv-e120k

But when I try the secret code my phone did not accept password for s/k (774632), it accepted the password for L version (0821)

And also in the LG U+ secret menu => Version info the values are:

PDA: E120S.FB13.1726

Phone: E120K.FA2.1306.KT

H/W:E12.10

FTA S/W ver: E120L.01

FTA H/W ver: E120L.01

So, is my phone L version or K version? I know this is very important information to know because I need to flash correct rom.

Can't you just take out the battery and check what model is your phone?

It is also confusing . The label contains:
1. (Korean words I cannot write here)...(SHV-E120K)
2. (korean stuff): KCC-CMM-SEC-SHV-120K
3. BLA BLA
4. BLA BLA
5. BLA BLA
6. BLA BLA
7. FCC ID : A3LSHVE120S
BLA BLA

in items 1 and 3 I see shv-120k
in item 7 shve120s

So what now?
