How was it so inexpensive for you? The sale I see says it's $94.99, which is only a $5 discount.

Edit: There's a sale going on for 30% off all accessories. Time to do my shopping! Enter code NWS16 at checkout. It lasts until the 16th.

so for this to work it sounds like your tv not only needs an hdmi port but that it must be able to connect to wifi as well? I was about to purchase this and I have wifi at home but my tv does not have internet connection built in...

The Media Link box needs to be on WiFi, not the tv.

It'll work even if you don't have wifi at home, through wifi direct

Your phone is still free to do other things if you're watching a video, and you won't have to keep getting up to change videos if you're on youtube or something. I'm currently using my asus transformer hooked up to a tv via hdmi and controlled using my OG evo by way of droidmote, this will get rid of the need of having two devices to do something simple.

Oh and if it does work via wifi direct then you can hook it up to a projector to do presentations, with the controls right at your hands without the need for additional hardware.
