The best portable charger is the PowerGen. look it up on amazon it charges my android twice and my ipod twice before it drains. I think its 5400 mah. Its also cheap like 30-50$

It will most likely because you are charging/uncharging just one cell of the battery and that will deplete the total amount you can charge. Its ok once in a while but be careful.
