I have a spare heroc with bad ESN that I use for testing new ROMS before I load them on my daily driver heroc. If you need any testing done just let me know!

Wink ROM works :)

I flashed your ROM, worked just fine for me, although a tad too slow for me to run it as my daily driver. The Camera seemed to work after being patient with it, but was again, very slow even with it overclocked and on performance.

If you need a tester, I am willing to help out although I am no dev.

Thank you for making a 4.0 ROM for the Heroc with a working Camera! And Thanks to all of the great devs that have contributed to any and all ROM development for the heroc.

hey darthfruitloop,

did you use v2 (which is 4.0.4) or v3 (which is 4.0.3)?

v3 - 4.0.3 runs way better, its alot more stable too

camera is wonky at first try, wait until you see all controls show up on the screen and then press the settings button>then the triple stacked button, and change Picture Size to something smaller, it works alot better if you do that, and is more responsive. I'd recommend changing focus mode from auto to infinity also.

rom toolbox is not working right for cpu and govornor settings, so i ended up having to use an init.d script to accomplish the same thing. as it sits when you install it;

services.jar is ready for supercharger v6 script (only bulletproofing/die-hard/etc launcher, minfrees wont stick for some reason)

cpu govornor is smartassv2, set at low end 352 and high end 710. -if you want to change this you can use an app such as setcpu which is free on xda if you search for it, or you can go into /system/etc/init.d and change the file called 13cpuspeed.

for minfrees i use auto memory manager, it works pretty good on the aggressive setting. also make sure under settings>developer options>background process limit> is set to "at most 4 processes"

the culmination of all those and the use of zeam launcher, it runs about as fast as gingerbread for me. little bit wonky sometimes, but only sometimes.

im glad to have you as a tester and if you encounter any bugs please let me know and ill do my best to rectify the situation.

Wink Re: hey darthfruitloop

Um, actually I am not sure which one it was to be honest. I am at work right now, but when I get home I will try to re-flash them both individually and report after that. (Right now I am running the latest CM7 nightly as my daily) I will also try using your suggestions to see if it improves the sluggishness.

[EDIT] Wow I totally skipped over the part of your post about your health until just now. Sorry to hear that, I wish you the best. Hope you get feeling better.

The simple idea that this ROM exists is incredible. Thank you so much whoshotjr2006.

To anyone who might know, can you flash this directly over ajrty's Evervolv? From my understanding, they're both Evervolv, so it's possible it might work. Anybody try?

I might just NAND and try myself, but if I can get a quick enough response, that'd be great.

Like you said, the quickest thing would probably be to just try it. Should work just fine

hey darthfruitloop

v3 is going to be better, 4.0.4 (v2) is sluggish and laggy, and while v3 is a little bit laggy and sluggish sometimes, its alot better than v2 until 4.0.5 comes out and the port rolls downhill to our devices

also thank you for the well wishes

nilxchaos:

if any one of them could be flashed over ajrty33's evervolv, it would be v2. v3 is based off of 4.0.3, while v2 and ajrty's are based off of 4.0.4. id go ahead and try it, im interested to see what the results would be.

ajrty33, have a thanks, you deserve it. and i have been trying different combos to get camera working with your miui ics, and no luck. ill keep trying and if i find anything out ill let you know first.
