What does this Radio do exactly? Is it the normal like on many mobile devices( FM radio), or we're taling about something else here?

Handles the GSM part of the phone, wifi, gps, etc. Different radios can provide better or worse reception, better gps performance etc.

This is for absolutely every radio device in the phone. GSM, 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi etc...

Different radio ROMs have better/worse performance and battery drain.

New toys always get so many attentions, doesn't it

Hey ATW, sorry for OOT-ing cuz I don't see this conv in other forum. But if following the logic, will it also applicable to other devices with same chip/chipset too? E.g: Trinity and Hermes which ran on same Samsung platform (try to compare the two on pdadb.net - sorry i can't attach the pic because it will be too big in pic form). These two PDA has almost everything the same. Difference being only GPSOne chip on Trinity, plus the keyboard and flashlight on Hermes.

Sorry to ask this, cuz i'm only intrigued by the topic. Please ignore if it's irrelevant.
