Anyone know if I can upgrade from ver. 4.0.1.A.0.283 (Android 2.3.4) to ICS directly or if I have to upgrade to to 4.0.2.A.0.62 (2.3.6?) first?

Good question.

Will anyone with 3.0.x get the ICS upgrade notification?

Not sure for .283 but I upgraded from .42 straight to ICS. No issue.
