I cannot decompile the .xml files as I only have a stupid works laptop at the moment that wont allow me to install the java/apptool.

If you could post an update.zip I would be thankful

I found a workaround

use this app and put a shortcut in the notification area or on your launcher...untill the devs sort it this is as good as it gets.
