I'm on CM9 FXP120 right now and I must say its actually pretty stable for daily use. Got some reboots but its no big deal its just a hot reboot. WLOD when changing to Airplane Mode, like before.

Battery? I feel its just the same as CM7.2 as I am a very heavy user. Its just that the battery dies faster when I'm not using it that makes the difference.

How long is your battery lasting? Which governor are you using?

I'm tempted to install it again, but I'm worried I'll eventually move back to CM 7.2 as I did earlier

Actually you can't act more stupid than that. First, task killer programs DON'T save your battery. They just throw out apps from memory, but those load themselves back the first time they can. Actually the kill and reload eats up more battery than leave the unused apps in the memory.
The Juice Defender and Easy Battery Saver do more or less the same, absolutely pointless to use the two at the same time. 2G is eats up less battery than 3G, and if you don't use data connection it's a smart choice, but if you do you'll just get slow mobile net. Screen brightness lowering is a really common thing, so it's not an advice, everyone does that on every ROM.
