I tested the status bar auto-hide function and when I used camera the status bar won't appear at all, tried short press and long press of power button and no power menu poped-up. I had to click on gallery icon from camera and then status bar reappeared

Would be good to optimize the autohide function, in order to pop it up when needed.

Yes try to change the dpi to default 320: settings > paranoid settings > hybrid settings > default user dpi 320
