Tether is up N running. Had to uninstall/download again, then did the SU grant all, and changed the settings in tether as suggested. Thx for the replies.

hey guys what's the most stable up to date 3.0. i tried the last 246 and i got many random reboots.

R218-fixed was solid. I also had no problems with r192. Both ran great.

242 was the last flawless version of gingerbread i used.

I was having issues, too. But, as I started playing around with ICS ROMS, I noticed the same thing. I realized my firmware was 2 versions out of date. Are you on the latest 2.17 firmware from January (not the Virgin Mobile one)? If not, flash Freeza's all in one (worked for me). That solved all of my random reboot issues on these newer ROMs.

I don't have reboot issues on the new roms & I have the official 2.17 firmware s-on
