1.) I love my Epic and have had it for longer than any other phone. I'm a keyboard addict.
2.) I'm itching to switch devices.
3.) I do get decent 4G (Hartford, CT)
4.) I don't have a subsidized upgrade for over 1/2 a year.

Was going to buy a Epic Touch 4G (is this the best wimax phone?) on ebay, then sell my epic on ebay after I'm ok with the no keyboard for a week. Thoughts?
Numbers 1,3, and 4 say keep your Epic. Try some different ROMs to satisfy #2.

Seeing how I get an early upgrade almost every year when the next nexus comes out I will get it as well. If you can wait for the sgs3 great. But in six months it will be topped. Just like every other phone. For those who don't know sense 4.0 has broken multi tasking... so the Evo is not a choice for most. Gnex or sgs3 are the only true options. Remember this opinion and everyone has one...

I've played with my cousin's Verizon GNex and it's a nice phone, but the only thing I don't like is the fact it doesn't have an SDCard slot since I already have a nice 32GB card. Don't see myself ever getting a phone without one.

Lol... you don't need one with this internal storage. There's a ton of room... I have all my apps installed all my stuff from my epic and I only have filled 2gigs of the 28 or so available to use.

Sprints 3g IS pretty horrid when compared to other carriers.

My bad i meant Kb & Mb. 700Kbps - 800Kbps is what i get for speeds. Not terrible for me.

After tinkering with more software keyboards of late (loving Super Keyboard) I've decided I'm ok to finally put my toes in the keyboard-less waters. I'd really rather not have to mess with rooting/ROMs. The only reason I ever bothered with that in the first place was for wifi-tethering. But FoxFi (which doesn't work on HTC devices) negates that.

I almost pulled the trigger on the Photon last week on CowBoom when it was around $180. I'm glad I waited though as they had the Epic Touch marked down to $220 today. My (mostly stock) Epic experience has been great and most things seem to indicate the Epic Touch is more of the same, but better. I won't have LTE in my market for at least another year anyway (still don't even have WiMax) so I'm just going to hold on to my upgrade credit and use it later on.
