Yea, Basically HSPL turns the security check OFF so Custom ROMs can be loaded. Once we have HSPL we can start working on custom roms that are unlocked for xap sideloading.

As for an android port... Nothing is impossible but that would require alot of developing and won't be happening.

um... why not? Happened for the HD2. I'm not sure how the WML works, but android might be able to work through that too. Moreover, there is something for windows 8 that allows android apps to be downloaded and run... I believe there is hope for that making an appearance in WP8
Current Device: Lumia 820.
Previous Device: Titan I
HD2 and a number of other WM6 devices.

because it takes lot of work. First we would need something like MAGLDR for the titan, then we would need a working kernel with drivers before we can even begin building android roms. Unless we got several titan developers who are skilled at that sort of thing. And as it stands both titans aren't as popular to grab developer attention to work in such a thing. I'm not saying its impossible but to make something like that we need a lot of developers working together before we all eventually move on.

It would be cool to have android, but I'm not much of an optimistic kind of guy. If I'm wrong then Yay for everybody

it worked for the hd2 because when it came out it was the first of its kind to offer both a big screen and a 1ghz CPU. That got a lot of developers to jump ship and it was promised to get wp7 so that was a huge plus. So development started from the get go and when wp7 wasn't going to be official they took it upon themselves to make it happen, then with the nexus one and desire having almost identical features android was possible.

What is the aim of doing that? I can understand it with HD2 - it's until now a legendary device and it was a unique device when the android port was done.
But now Sensation XL is almost total hardware clone of Titan. It's much easier to buy it, than to port Android to WP phone.
And it's pretty strange to buy WP phone just to port Android OS on it.

Current devices:
HTC Titan - My own custom WP7.8 - 7.10.8862.144
HTC 7 Mozart - My own custom WP7.8 - 7.10.8862.144
HD2 TMOUS - My own custom WM 6.5.3 - OS 5.2.29128.5.3.12.16
.
Still support Asus P525

well i didnt buy the phone, i got it for free during the smoked by windows phone challenge(exchanged the old OG Droid for it)

personally im an android guy and i am using the galaxy nexus as my main phone but i started playing with the windows phone and i like it so i was thinking why not dualboot android and windows phone(like the HD2)

plus its not like having the option to run android would be bad, and i think it would up the value of the device with in this community and others like it, you would get the best of both worlds with one device instead of only having one option like with the sensation XL

and as far as getting a kernel working, i have done some linux kernels for my laptop before so i can take a look into compiling a working kernel for the titan(probably port the sensation XL kernel)

Because HD2 was a test WP7 device, there were leaked drivers and lots of hard work to get things going, hence why so much was possible with HD2. Some of the drivers were also familiar to other WP7 devices

Id doubt that will ever happen again.
