Thanks for the link, mr_5kool. Do you know if this is a fully functional recovery? Can I take a nandroid backup of my device and later restore it?

If I were you I wouldn't try on this. It's just the same ROM as the one which was released on XDA forums but they didn't quote their sources. So, as far as I know, this ROM is not working and there is no 2.2, 2.3 or 4 Android ROMs for the motorola flipout.

of course you can use the nanndroif backup (in theory)
but i haven't try it before on my flipout so i don't know how it works
