Same here! No war started. Truth spoken

ADB works for me.

No apps appear to be running out of control. I checked running services/apps. But cpuspy shows a lot of time at 200 Mhz instead of deep sleep.

Also, I use autostarts aggressively to make sure unnecessary stuff isn’t running.

Is this a common CM9 problem? Can others confirm? If I'm unique, I'll wipe this thing in a heartbeat
Nope. Read the Known Battery Drainers thread in these forums.

Misbehaving app + known documented fuel gauge behavior. Rebooting on low battery will make it report artificially low. Fundamental aspect of our hardware that has nothing to do with CM9.

I'm thinking CM9 needs more work on USB storage protocol. ADB throughput is very close to native microSD performance, while USB storage (mounting microSD as drive) is FUBAR. I guess I'll use ADB to push media to my phone for the time being.
Definitely need to transfer my music via ADB, then! I never thought of that!
Good idea
Been through too many phones.
AT&T Galaxy S III - CM10 stock
Nexus 7 Grouper - CleanROM w/FrancoKernel
Barnes & Noble Nook Color w/CM10

Just installed the 5/16 nightly. It looked like it was going to do the same thing as the 5/15 did with the no data signal, but then the little H popped up after reboot, loving it so far.

Checking for updates doesn't work, but you can still use it to download the latest nightly.

Reading comprehension helps... lol Thought you said you could download and install from updates. Yes, I can download on my pc, copy over and install, but to have it do all of that for me it flakes out.

Thanks. An added benefit is that you do not interrupt app access to SD card during file transfer as you would if using USB storage protocol.

I'm not sure if ADB has any safeguards built in to avoid overwriting existing directories though. Work to the wise. I'll have to check later. I'm still learning a great deal about the Android environment. The tools seem to be, in the immortal words of Bono, "****ing brilliant".

While I do not disagree that in most cases it is an app that causes battery season issues, the wlan_rx_wake doesn't seem to be one of those. But it does seem to be wifi network dependent. I get excellent battery life and almost no wifi wakelocks when I am on my home wifi, but have horrible drain when I am on the work wifi. So i don't think it's an app. the work one is unsecured and open. I haven't said anything since I wanted to do a little bit of digging into it before posting, but I haven't gotten the chance and was hoping you and the cm9 wouldn't dismiss the reports as an app. However, I realize I do need to do more digging and provide more data to convince you guys that it's an issue. If there are specific things that I can track to help you, let me know.

As described in the battery drainers thread - Apps can drive network traffic to the device, and because 95%+ of the time spent handling that traffic is resuming/suspending - the OS gets blamed even though the root cause is the app.

I told you to read the thread - go read it. Obviously you haven't, since you're still arguing with me that it HAS to be an OS problem without any Wireshark data to prove your point.
