Nice! the phone isn't even out (not even in the US yet) and we have a rom for it. Does anyone know if it's been rooted yet?

The basic way is: Unlock bootloader via HTC Dev, flash recovery, flash rom.

I'm leery of using htcdev because they can supposedly void your warranty for hardware issues. I confident there will be some way to unlock the boot loader to install a custom recovery without htcdev [eventually].

My experience is that it depends on the area or store, some check some don't. Don't trust them anyway's
