Default Signal issues?

Hey guys, I've been having this strange problem in the past few months and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it.

When I enable the Mobile data all I can connect to is an EDGE or GPRS signal, but no 3G (or extremely rarely). I've been looking throughout the settings of the phone, but can't seem to find a way to force it to connect to the 3G network I'm paying for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

p.s. I should say my baseband version is I9023XXKB3

I enabled the Mobile data, then typed this in and under Phone info I have "Network type: EDGE:2". Set preferred network type is GSM Only.

I've never worked with these settings before. Could anyone tell me what do I need to do to force the 3G network?

Grazia, evcz! Thanks for the quick reply!

You could possibly check the your build.prop for the various ro.ril.hsxp, ro.ril.hsupa, etc values and see if they're ok.

I would suggesting reading a bit about the various Radios here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1116884

Be careful when flashing radios, but you should be able to at least find something to try!

Thanks for the reply, mate!

I've read the major posts in this thread (it has saved me once before, when I deleted my radio by mistake), and KB3 has been working quite well for me. I've no idea how this missing 3G thing came to be. Maybe I should just reflash the radio with KB1 and see if anything happens, though I've had this issue with KB1 on a stock 4.0.4 in the past as well.

I believe it has something to do about your network provider and not the baseband radio.
