Surely there has to be something created to block unwanted updates. Out of all of the Devs here, someone has created an update lock...right?
I think its the fact that Metro tries to update but we are getting Sprint's 02004 prl instead. I don't know if anything can be done about that though..

If you open up dfs in the nam tab there is a bunch of boxes one of which says OTAPA if you uncheck that box you should no longer receive any over the air programming.

2004 is actually a metro prl and an evdo one at that it is just very old. From prior to them disabling there evdo coverage to work on lte. That is just the default prl that Houdini phones get. And the way they push the prls to phones goes by what your in there system as like me I do mine myself and use 3022 so whenever they push one to me I get that. It's basically what u were putinto the system with you get back.

LoL, mine is 1x super slow and my speed test application is always between 100-170, so if you get 30k then don't think you had 3g just because it is 5 times faster it's still 1x. Besides my area is 93304 and confirmed 3g so never fall for that you have to be in a confirmed area fib again.man

Just a confirmation that I did this a couple months ago, and I have not received any prl pushes since then.

Now that makes sense, it was the want all along, and when you did a probably update you were then stuck like the rest of the world. That was cool of that guy though who flashed your phone :D

Bro, just move to Boost Mobile. You will never look back. Ive had it for about 4 months now and dont regret getting off metro. Sure each have their pros and cons(for me) but you get used to it. How can you not get used to stable 3G on your EVO?? lol All by doing a simple "ESN Fix" on your evo, thats it, done.
