If your installing a new ROM
Wipe cache, dalvik, and do a factory reset.

If your flashing another nightly, same ROM wipe cache and dalvik then flash.

TWRP will work with any ROM at this point.

A few posts above mine says that formating the system is a good extra step so you have less problems?

... odd I was finding you HAD to use cwmt recovery otherwise it would give you an error maybe that's just aokp...

I had to modify the updater script to get PoolParty to flash wth TWRP. I would assume the fix from that thread would work on most any ROM that won't flash via TWRP. http://forums.acsyndicate.net/showth...y-V-5-ICS-BETA

I use twrp exclusively since day one. Flagged anything I want no issues.

And I only wipe if changing to a new ROM completely. Nighties I just flash over the day befores. No dalvik wipe no problems. People IMO are too wipe happy and I feel it causes problems. Why wipe unless an issue comes up....ot there's a big change between nightlies

Dumb question is there a way to connect phone and edit folders via recovery?
Can I have your watch when you are dead?

There's a file manager already included within TWRP. If you want to connect to your computer from recovery I don't know of any way to do that. Would be a nice feature I think. adb sees the phone, but has no permissions.

Has there been any progress on the USB storage mount in this recovery. CWM recovery does not support it and this one does not have it either. We used to have it on the Nexus S.
