I understand that there are probably "bigger" problems that annoy more people, but to me it is a showstopper. The latest ICS leak from Samsung (DXLP9) actually works fairly OK if you root it, install Apex Launcher and Titanium backup, and freeze some of the useless Samsung apps. I keep checking the changelogs and this thread, hoping to see the headphone/notification bug get fixed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining... just wanted to let you know you aren't alone.
Many members reported that problem months ago, it is still here yes. I have this problem even while using Poweramp.
I am also using my GSII as a MP3 player and this is quite irritating, but this won't keep me away from CM9 and the best fix is to put the phone on vibration only, no more notifications to disturb you...
You can also use some tweaks with Poweramp to fight that problem, it has been discused a million times.

are we talking something like suggested sollution:
SOLUTION:

1: Create a folder in your internal SD Card (in my case "ExternalSD")

2: Edit vold.fstab:

dev_mount emmc /mnt/sdcard/ExternalSD auto /devices/platform/tegra-sdhci.2/mmc_host/mmc1
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard 9 /devices/platform/tegra-sdhci.3/mmc_host/mmc2

3: Edit /system/build.prop
# Mount the internal SD card, too
ro.additionalmounts=/mnt/sdcard/ExternalSD

to my mind, its something about "mounting" sd card, which CM9 nightly is unable to do for me...
the sd card is likely to be mounted in your phone (hence the option to mount the drive is grey out).

what others have said was that the SD card is being presented as /emmc folder in your system.

yet, if that's the method you used to manually mount your sd card and get it to work, thank you for the information.

The way I get around the bug is to put the phone on silent when listening to music on it.

just to make sure it's a problem with cm9, would you like to install yahoo mail app from play store and see if you can access your yahoo account:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...t.android.mail

if both yahoo app and cm9 email client failed, it will be sticky to diagnose.

if yahoo app works yet cm9 email failed, then the cause of the problem is likely to be at cm9.

You're going to learn the hard way by jumping directly on CM9

Before going for your complicated solution (not sure it will even work, seeing "tegra" in the command line, with our non tegra device device), try another File Manager, like Solid Explorer
(In this one, there is a shortcut to jump to Root / Internal / SD Card)
