Long-time reader, first-time poster.

After flashing the leaked CM9 image onto my Chinese GT-I9100G, I compiled this CM9 port from source (synced yesterday) and installed it.

I am extremely impressed with codeworkx's work. Although neither wifi nor camera are functional (and I'm curious to know how/why they do for Jiangyi), I find this image to be roughly on a par with modpunk's CM9 alpha for the HTC Marvel.

Thanks for doing this, codeworkx. If you need help with the remaining bits of the port, please do let me know ... I know my way around adb.

I'm going to guess that you probably have the P3100 kernel compiled, which is why camera and wifi's not working. I'm going to say try flashing the LP7 kernel from Codeworkx on his other thread, and see how that turns out.

One more thing: Did you flash the LP5 leak or the LP7 leak?

Ah, I missed that thread. Thanks for that.

Flashing the LP7 kernel fixes the camera, but not wifi. This might be the usual Linux kmod versioning conflict, as I'm seeing this in dmesg when I try to activate wifi:

dhd: version magic '3.0.8-CM-gdf2de91 SMP preempt mod_unload ARMv7 p2v8 ' should be '3.0.8 SMP preempt mod_unload ARMv7 p2v8 '

Check your PMs in a few minutes. ;)
^^ this is my personal opinion and can't be taken as a official statement from the CyanogenMod team.

How much time it's "soon"?
Samsung is cheating us all the time.

But we only can...wait and wait.
I hope that this time will be true
