ok duce. Settings from your Rom decompiles fine. recompiling takes a very long time for some reason. here is a set up i put together for you. put the 1.apk and 2.apk in whatever folder your apktool resources go

Well your using a scripted tool and I don't know exactly what version of apktool you have. Also i put the right resources in the zip. That was probably it

So Im not what sure why people are getting errors decompiling settings with scripted tools. Duce was able to decompile using straight apktool. Maybe ill get with Tommy and see if we can find the bug.

There's an issue with straight apktool maybe you can help with. The modded apks work ONLY if flashed over, not from a full wipe. I did copy in the meta inf from the original apks. And as an apktool n00b, maybe I did something wrong. And oddly, on my work box, I updated the sdk to 19, used the most recent files you gave me into the "other" folder, and was able to de/recomp WITHOUT errors. Not sure if it's specific to using apkmanager vs apkmultitool? Any thoughts?

I think its time duce! Take the jump, apktool in a cmd line is much easier. You can be your own apkmanager no more middle management.

Reread my post. I did settings and mail last night with straight apktool. Used original meta inf. Both apks were non existent in the os from a clean install. I then got apkmanager to finally de/recomp without errors, and those apks worked. Probably something I did wrong so I'm infinitely curious what the issue is.

Ahh I should have read a little more, sorry bout that.
That's odd they didn't show up at all. Did you only try original Sig or did you also try resigning? Were you able to push the apks to system and they worked?

Duce do you mean when you compile your Rom in the kitchen? Seriously for performance reasons i wouldn't theme your Rom to much. I really think that sometimes themes may slow the Rom down. Maybe offer an expansion pack so to speak

Flashover worked. After compiled I 7zipped in the meta inf folder. Not sure if I did something wrong or what.

Bah. Our rom is tits. Wasn't referencing the kitchen whatsoever. Crazy talk. Most of what we do is change pngs. No way that slows anything down. Heck we haven't even done some of the speed mods. Try it out you hater
