Xmm, then I wouldn't need the photo.
I checked carefully all photos of this topic and I see the OP and some others without external antenna. Especially with the the round cutting door, the antenna is between the battery and the cover, and so it's not visible.
I only wonder how you people cut so nice the thick plastic of the cover. Any tips on how to remove antenna from cover in order to add it later with the new battery? And how is the connection of the antenna with the golden pins? Just by touch or they need somehow to stick them together?
(p.s. ordered already anker battery +2 covers )

Just cut it with a hot knife or heated cutter, then sand it until it is even. I think that the antenna is sandwiched between layers of plastic beneath the battery door or it is coated black, so I assume it is impossible to remove it.

If its impossible to remove it, then how the OP suggests at first post that we don't need to do anything else then to cut off the antenna and use it separately at the end? I do wonder though how is he connecting it.

lol, he just cut off the antenna and leave the connector intact, so at least he could get some of the signal.
But save yourself some work. Do not emphasis much on the antenna. This mod wasn't meant for those who rely heavily on wifi connection. You better off with the stock battery and stock battery door if you want to use wifi. And change to this mod for travelling with cellular data. It was hard to change the battery, I know, but it's totally worth it.

I really need this for everyday use cause I use 3g a lot at work and the stock battery finishes in 5 hours.
On the other hand, I use wifi at home, so its bit of trouble to switch every afternoon to normal battery and cover.
That's why I want to find the best way to make the change to this new battery as permanent as possible.
Even if the wifi is not at 100% reception as before. But it has to be at some logical degree a working wifi deVice.

Okay, I've done a quick benchmark for you. Approximately 10m from the wifi router, with a 6" thick concrete wall, the stock antenna would perform at -65db, while the mod drops to -80db. In other words, the mod will perform well enough in those conditions. Step it up to 15m and 2 of those walls, the wifi will be gone.
I am using the Anker 1900 mah battery, phone lifetime is around the 50 hours. The only problem is when the indicator shows +/- 40 percent, then my battery is empty...
