Sorry for the confusion. It's about Bootloader unlocking, not SIM unlocking. That is why it is placed in the Development sub-forum, and not in the General Section .

The RUU PH0611000_Chacha_hboot_1.10.0000 shows an error [190] : Rom is not updated

please upgrade to 1.57.720.1 to apply this RUU to be able to unlock the bootloader etc. etc.

i have also downloaded "ruu_chacha_htc_asia_wwe_1.57.707.2_radio_47.23.35 .3033h_7.51.35.19_release_228383_signed.exe" but when i run the RUU to update my rom it says this rom is not supported for your device.

Can anyone help

There is now an over the air update for HTC Status (AT&T ChaCha). Go to system settings on your phone and run that. You will need 25 megs of internal memory free. I have yet to try out the bootloader unlocker again to see if that clears things up. If any AT&T users find it works let us all know!

yeah, a system update is available. my cha cha is rooted, can I run the updates?

I also wanted to unlock my Eu. cha cha via htcdev but unfortunately I upgraded my rom to 154.401.3 where as the PH0611000_Chacha_hboot_1.10.0000 setup only recognize 154.401.2 as the latest update and gives error "You have to update your rom".

Its unless htcdev change PH0611000_Chacha_hboot_1.10.0000 setup file to recognize newest update it wont unlock via their present setups posted on the site.

Here same problem, i have update the chacha with the OTA, but now i can not unlock the bootloader.
Is there a way to change the unloader tool manual so it's disable the check on the firmware version number?

you can unlock bootloader using xtdev site, just skip the first step! I just unlock my girlfriends phone which was ota updated to the llatest version. it is 1.54.401.3
