Yes, your firmware version (*.*.5XXXX.*) is too new for the current HTC interop-unlocks. You either need to downgrade / roll back your firmware, or downgrade and then unlock the bootloader and use a custom ROM, or be patient and hopeful that we find another way.

Then we all hope you'll find another way to get the v2 drivers.
Is there something, we can do to help you guys with our hands on an InterOP locked HTC device?
Currently running HTC Trophy (Spark), Mango 8107, Dev unlocked, HTC Drivers v2

At this point, the options for HTC interop-unlock are mostly either finding a global unlock (i.e. non-HTC-specific) or finding a bug in the filter that HTC uses on its drivers. The former is a giant needle-in-a-haystack search, although I've found a few things that were somewhat promising (sadly, the vulnerable apps didn't have enough permissions to change the relevant registry values). The latter probably requires decompiling (or at least disassembling) the native DLL that implements HTC's provisioning driver, and reverse-engineering it. That requires knowledge of ARM asembly, or at least of decompile-quality C.

I know this is hard, and I know working for free is not a good thing (to be accurate there is a prize in the HTC Titan forums for whoever will do it) but I really think this is something that can't be delayed anymore.

Long time is passed since HTC second generations came out, Titan and Radar are really important handset for Windows Phone and now this big piece of the Windows Phone community is missing homebrew completely.

I tried to contact Cotulla and DFT twice but they stopped answering since 12 April and this silence is really ... depressing. They announced some time ago they were going to unlock both Radar and Titan (to unlock the bootloader and provide a custom rom of theirs to be accurate) but nothing has happened so far.

I am starting to think that HTC second generations will never be unlocked and that the best chance (if any) to bring homebrew to these devices is the uncertain upgrade to Windows Phone 8.

Fully Unlocked HTC Titan with DFT HSPL bootloader and ultrashot Dynamics7 v2.0 Custom ROM WP7.8 !

@GoodDayToDie @dragonide

when i bought my titan i knew it won't be the next hd2 but i couldn't imagine that 6 month later i won't be able to (eg.) put a custom color to my tiles...
if ms will announce we won't get the apollo update i guess i'll put an end to my windows phone experience, no matter how much i love it!

Device: Nokia Lumia 920

HTC and MS was too good at it.... I'm beginning to think no developer around the world is capable of breaking HTC gen2 WP device (or they are not willing to do it for free)

Sadly, the gen2 devices (like the Titan) come with the newer firmware that blocks the driver used by Connection Setup from writing to the unlock registry values.

Thanks for the confidence, though. I'm still working on it, as are others! It'll take some more work (and luck), though.
