I have no problems with it disconnecting yet.
It seem like other have not noticed or haven't said anything, but the music quality is pretty bad on the high end. Sounds worlds different when compared to basically any other phone i've tried (droid 2, iphone-all models), almost static sounding like my tweeters in the car are blown or something..have not found a fix for this yet..

(how have you other guys not noticed this?!?!)

Default Kenwood KDC-BT61U

I have a SGS2 and a Kenwood KDC-BT61U unit. With the initial Gingerbread, the other person randomly had problems hearing me well, the problem could be fixed by restarting Handsfree (quite easy fix). I also encountered problems with stereo streaming, which would not work, requiring a bluetooth restart. Rarely, the volume got muted and I had to restart the phone as trying to un-mut it would not work.
Whith Ice cream sandwich, the Quality of Hf is nearly always bad, as the person I am calling hears a disturbing echo and the problem can only rarely be fixed by restarting the phone.
It is kinda shameful that such problems exist for HF while we are dealing with just bluetooth HF, a mature technology.
Though better as an Iphone, which could not connect at all, although I tested it with Nokia and Sony Ericsson with good results although the tests where of short duration.

Problem: Won't auto connect. Receives a phonebook access request from car. Does nothing with it. Won't auto connect. I have to connect by selecting the paired device and on occasions turn bluetooth off and on to get it to connect. Once connected pretty much everything works although music through bluetooth low volume.

My BlackBerry Torch 9800 however worked PERFECT with all features on the same car.

The Samsung does work and autoconnect on my 2008 Lexus GX470 and my Clarion Head Unit in another car.

Hi,
same here with my Samsung Galaxy S2. Have you found a solution. I never had the problem with my Blackberry.

When I run 2.3.6 on my Galaxy S2, no problems at all. After upgrading to 4.0.3 (15 May XEN version) BT audio stutters for a while. Then it streams fine until next song or when reconnected. I tried both upgrading from 2.3.6 and reinstalling from scratch, both showing the same problem. As 2.3.6 is working fine, I conclude it is not a hardware, but a software problem.

Please fix! As this is the biggest reason I reverted back to 2.3.6.

Default Bluetooth problem with Samsung phone and Chrysler 300

Year:2010
Make: Chrysler
Model: 300 Limited
Phone: SGH-T679M

Same problem as original post, as soon as the MyGig accesses the Samsung phone book, the connection is lost. Happens every time I try to make a call, extremely anoying. I do not have a problem with Blackberry connections, just Samsumg connections.

Will not import phone book. Disconnects when it tries. None of the listed fixes help. The same phone works perfectly with Ford sync.

Both of this solution is for Gingerbread. Could you give me some solution for ICS?

Default I solved for S5690

I solved Samsung Xcover (S5690, Android 2.3.6) connection to a carkit on Renault Laguna 3.
Steps used:
1. I root phone;
2. I used ES File Explorer to access system files. In ES File Explorer settings I give root privileges.
3. I installed from Google Play program “Mount / system (rw / ro)” (free).
4. I run Mount/system (rw / ro) and I enabled "mount r/w". He is active several seconds, so it goes quickly to ES File Explorer.
5. I open ES File Explorer: --- / system / app /. I look for Bluetooth.apk and I renamed to bluetooth.apk.bak.
6. File bluetoothpbap ...... . apk does not start at all.
The biggest surprise was that the car recognizes the phone, contacts, media, everything.
I hope to work on other samsung phones (I think it's a general problem).

DONATE TO ME
Thread resurrection again...

Phone at&t Gs3
Rom: 4.1.1 (TW based custom ones, currently INtergalactic)
Radio: JVC KWR900BT

Everything seemed to be working fine but I was getting a battery drain on a partial wakelock called StartingObexPBAPtransmission. After reading this thread I see that this is related to phonebook download. There is no PBAP apk on my phone. I am going to try to disable the bluetooth share. I do not have the JVC app installed.

will report back my findings.
