I think there are a lot of bad digiters on the market.

My orginal digitizer was an glass one. The 2 two i bought from the internet where plastic.

Can you detect an orginal one from a fake?

I have a Sensation Z710e. I too face this issue. Probably after I dropped the phone. This is great relief for me.

Hey everyone, i have a similar problem, and i am not sure if it is the fault of the silver pin. I had problems with my lockscreen and a bug if you flip the keyboard. (link below)

I now used the fix (i hope i did that right) and the problem with the lock ring disappeared but there is still a problem with the keyboard input. The whole Display works, i tested that in a paintprogram. Furthermore i updated the Firmware and reinstalled my custom rom. The problems occured 2-4 weeks after i got my Sensation.

Hope you can help me, this drives me crazy when trying to write a sms... youtube .com/watch?v=MkCKKhRp4Vs (you have to delete the space. Since i dont have 8 posts, i am not able to post a link... :-/ )

I doubt it's just the keyboard... But just in case, did you try a different keyboard?

Yeah, i tried another keyboard from the app market, but same problem. I can't barely write a SMS. I'll try this fix again hopefully this will work. I mean it can't be the digitizer or? The whole screen is actually working.

If you've been charging without touching the screen for a while now, and you pulled the pin and all that, the issue should have disappeared by now.
If it's still there, it's most likely the digitizer... At least that is what I'd say if your problem wouldn't disappear when you put the phone in portrait mode

Can it have something to do with the g-sensor? Have you tried re-calibrating it (in settings/display)?

And it can't be just the keyboard... Your touches are most likely always registered multiple times, you just don't notice it. If it was just the keyboard it would mean it's a software glitch. So changing the ROM/kernel would fix it...
