i flash my phone using RSDLITE software for version 2.2 and still can't
i try to upgrade 2.3.7 using cm7 mode still can't help for sim unlocked..

I've downgrade to gingerbread Android version 2.3.3 (system version 4.5.606.A956.Verizon.en.US) and good performance than ICS. When I insert a sim without adaptor and ask me a code. But I need unlocker software to use a sim without adaptor.

now i got two different sim-adapters but none of them are working....still cant use the phone.
do i need a special android version or something?

Hi, well I don't know much about phones but I have a few ideas.
I saw somewhere on internet that the Droid 3 after some attempts for unlocking will lock and you need another code to do that, however unlike other phones it won't show the message and the same unlock screen of SIM unlock appears. I think the D2G works the same way and that's why people can't unlock even with Verizon codes.
Also, why can't it be unlocked in a similar way to the galaxys, Gasai Yuno said that it has to be in blur archives, so can it be done with hex tools? And Gasai said that if the baseband doesn't support carrier unlocking, it will work, can devs here make it or is too difficult?

I used this one in Iran on a GSM network:

It worked but after 24 hours, it made phone reset continuously every 4 hours and won't register on network after phone has gone into Airplane mode or Turning Off.

Can someone contact the Chinese man who achieved to unlock it? A lot of people is willing to give some money for a method for unlocking it here, so maybe we can "buy" it from him. Because AFAIK he refused to publish it to get earnings from unlocks.

I see you've been asking the same questions, this is getting us to nowhere, here's my summary:

* There is no way to ensure that your droid 2 global can be unlocked with codes
* If you successfully unlocked your d2g is because Verizon didnt change the code from factory
* When codes fail, the only method is using a turbosim, the yellow one will burn out, the black one, the one wich claims that supposedly doesnt need you to cut your sim card, actually needs you to cut your sim card because the slot of the d2d is to thinner, When you make it work, be sure to set your phone to 2G mode ( my experience with this one, www.ebay.com and search for 330616439766 ), otherwise, you wont be able to receive messages nor calls, you will be able to use 3g but only in sender mode (make calls and send messages) but not in receiver mode. I haven't tried the one that is 8 bucks because When I ordered it I damaged it, Ill try again with that and I'll tell you later.
