^what he said... shame on you HTC.

i have had my flyer roughly only a few months after they came out. so i didn't get the nice price everyone here is talking about. but... it was a gift so i can't complain too much. but i've been happy with its performance. albeit ****ty with HC ... can't wait for ICS to come from the dev community.. it'll run better than whatever HTC would have given us i'm sure.

If i had to do it all again I think I'd get a bigger tablet. 7 inches just seems too much like a big phone. Also not enough real estate for effective note taking. Still for $200 and change a great tablet.

I love the size. 7 inches is perfect. plenty larger than a phone and very portable, you can hold it one handed or fit it in your pocket. imo I think 10 inch tabs are too big. I see people with the ipad and think its just massive, to the point you might as well get a laptop. But if you like the flyer and want a larger size might I suggest looking into a jetsteam?

It's a damn crime that they released an update that broke the gps. I bought this for my car and boat...... did the update happily and then wanted to chuck it overboard when I can only get a momentary gps lock every 2.5 mins.

Had to go buy an external bluetooth gps. Shame on you HTC for not even caring about this problem.
If you think about it, this and a few other things are probably why HTC didn't release the tablet wth HC initially.

The entire tablet phenom is useless. I see the same complaints in every XDA tablet forum. GPS problems, wifi problems, app problems, no support, blah blah blah waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Going back to something that really works. Windows Ultrabook PC.
Days of free media are almost over as the biggies look for more revenue streaming from your wallet... ...Don't believe me? Take a look at all the flagship models now being sold WITHOUT microSD card slots.

This does appear to be the case. The oem does not appear to respect the investment a tablet owner makes in comparison to a phone. Development for tablets does not appear to be as robust probably due to the high initial cost and smaller user base. I think after this experience if considering another tablet everyone should do so thinking does how it is today should satisfy you, otherwise do not buy

dare I say it? Ipad might be the best bet for support. but it is true. Problem is they are pcs built out of smartphone hardware and software, and cell phones are disposable pleasures anyway as most are just trying to make it to their next upgrade date. Manufacturers can't seem to distinguish between the two and teat tablets with the same garbage support they offer their phone customers. difference is most people aren't buying their tabs for 99 cents after 2 year agreement. No sometimes even with a 2 year agreement we're still paying upwards of $500 for them, and we aren't looking for something that'll get us by till out next upgrade date, we're looking at something we want to use for several years, we're looking at it as a PC not a smartphone.

I pretty much planned on rooting my flyer from day one, but still its dissapointing, my overall experience with it in just a few short months. Android manufacturers need to get their heads out of their asses and support their stuff!
