That's because the radio/baseband is completely separate from the rom. It's something you would flash separately.

You never know if.its better until you try. The radio will vary between people and locations. But being its new I hope its better.

I believe there's a link somewhere in this thread for .1111 - just do a search. From my experience, .1111 has been the best of the radios, however i haven't been able to find a link to the new .312 one to try.
