Default Moving past droid 3

I have an early upg I might use in july.
In light of motos continued 'up yours' mentality (this coming from a long, loooonnggg time moto fan)....

Whats a good up and coming phone to move to in terms of build quality? Unlockability?

Im sorry folks but...with what I've seen from the d2 up to the release and half assed support and releases for both the d2 and 3..I am done.

Wife has a d4 now but...not loving it. Its as clunky as ever with blur and verizon bloat.

Is the nexus my best bet for my next phone?

I had purchased the d3 as a one more chance for moto in my mind..I was sorely dissapointed seeing a very poor release of the stock software. It was broken, unstable and just shouldn't have ever gotten out.

Then the d4 almost immediately dropped.

Moto, I am done.

Personally, i just purchased a nexus....i went through the same thing with the blackberry storm 2 prior to the droid 3, so i was fed up enough to open up a second line, just so i could upgrade early
