I am the the worst when it come to high tech issues regarding my Smart Phone (DROID X2). I want so very badly to remove the ANNOYING beep at the end of my calls. I found this thread, rooted my phone but have been unable to figure out how to make this happen. Is there anyone who will please help me get this task completed. Thank you.

It seems that one A8 may be not identical to another A8! Backup your phone before any system changes! It is your responsibility!

So, if you are brave enough:

Get modified Phone.apk (see attachment)

Copy original Phone.apk from /system/app/ to SD

Replace (do not delete or rename!) original Phone.apk in /system/app/ with modified Phone.apk (you need root privileges)

Reboot (you have no choice - A8 would be unusable at this point)

Return to /system/app and change permissions of new Phone.apk to rw-r--r--

Reboot again

Enjoy the silence! after call of course

No, because my cousin has another equal and have the same problem!I think it is a problem of ROM version of android.

This type of mobiles have an already modded ROMS.
There is a slim chance of correcting issues and errors.

viber works but only on loudspeaker
so not helpful

thank you.. on my smartphone viber doesn't work. It crashes and during the installation it shows a message of error for incompatibility.
