[Q] Charging issues with Zips and AOKP Rootys Rom

Hey Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm using the AOKP Rooty rom and my phone seems to be having a charging issue. After the battery charges to 100% and it's been sitting on the charger for a while, it has a serious drain to about 25-30%. I have to power down and remove the battery to get a good charge going again. It first started with Zips rom so I switched to the Rooty rom. It started fine for a few days, but the charging issue started again. I brought a new battery just in case my old one crapped out, but it's still doing the same thing. I've wiped the battery stats with no luck. I did see there were similar issues on the forum, but I could not find a solution. If I missed one.. Sorry about about that. I am working on the set up for SnakeS battery boost, but I did notice that the Android System was using 47% of the battery. Is that normal? Thanks for the help.

Lesson learned....double check the cable to make sure it is not faulty.
