Use at your own risk. Play with fire sometimes you get burned!

The leak last week was 6.16.200 this is 206. I don't know what might be new/updated. The download has the crc file too!

If anyone is interested in trying sugarsync send me a pm with an email. I will send you an invite that will give both of us bonus storage.

Default Works Flawlessly

I just got his all set back up and was able to restore root via Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper. Also, I wanted to mention that I just tried ADB and ADB sees my device and I can SU to the root prompt as well.

I wonder if the inability on the previous leak was a bug that was patched in this leak.

Anyway, thanks for the update! Keep up the great work!

P.S. I'm coming from the stock 219 GB ROM and I did a factory reset before applying this update.

Edit: I just noticed that my phone isn't seeing my SD Card while plugged into the computer. There isn't a charge-only option. No worries though.

Phone Model: Maserati
Android Verison: 4.0.4
Kernel: 3.0.8
Webtop: wt-3.0.0
Build: 6.7.2-180_DR4-16_M2-26

Cool Webtop 3.0 ICS

So, I've been using the new Webtop 3.0 on my Atrix Lapdock and I musts say that it is very different than the previous Gingerbread Webtop

PROS:
  • I like the new tablet view you get when you dock your phone.
  • Phone apps seem integrated a lot better
  • Webtop is much more responsive

CONS:
  • Ubuntu seems to have been removed completely. I'm worried about future mods / Webtop development
  • Desktop Firefox is also gone. However, I have Dolphin browser and that seems to work fine.

All-in-all this version of Webtop seems more responsive and better integrated, so +1 for the average user I suppose but doesn't seem very Dev friendly.

Let me know what you guys think

Yes, this is the drawback of webtop 3+, it is native android. Honestly, it is a much easier way to go, and will promise more google/motorola dev in the future, but sucks for us who were excited at running ubuntu.

I see this as a good step forward. There will be less memory issues now, and yes, we will have to use android apps rather than desktop firefox, but then all is windowed instead of just in the mobile view.

We can also look forward to Canonical's ubuntu phones eventually. With a nice quad core, that'll be what I will be using when it is available! In the mean time, I will have to put to bed my like of ubuntu/webtop2.x in favor of a more workable solution. Who knows, perhaps the vnc viewer will look good on webtop 3.x if you have ubuntu installed...

Does this version of webtop require a external pointing device? All I have is the travel adaptor that enables the webtop I bought it thinking I could use the touch screen as a track pad not the case.... I hope this one does....

The phone becomes a touch screen in webtop mode, but you are definitely better off with a BT mouse and keyboard if you really want to use it a lot.

I agree about the removal of Ubuntu, it's far more useful to average users but you could do some very interesting and unique things with the Ubuntu installation that won't be possible with this setup.

Has anyone tried to roll back from ICS to GB? I know I'm asking something that can be a nightmare, but I figured I'd ask and see if anyone tried it yet. Also has anyone done a system dump of the new release yet?

I have not tried the rollback, i just hope I have a roll forward eventually

DarkMidnight, i am also using my atrix lapdock, do you have an issue with your screen resolutoin/aspect ratio? I have everything on my screen as it should be, but I have a black bar on top and bottom like i am watching a widescreen movie on an old TV that was square. I was wondering if this ROM doesnt like the atrix lapdocks, and was thinking about swapping out a few of the dock files from a atrix rom.

I honestly think the resolutin is correct, it is as if the monitor is using the wrong refresh or aspect ratio. Not sure how to tweak it. In the settings i have toggled the hdmi plugin detection on and off a couple times, and I can see that there is a resolution setting, but it is greyed out. thoughts?

all in all, i like having ICS and webtop 3. I was skeptical but took the leap, and i dont regret it, providing I can fix my resolution prob. I love that there is no lag from running two operating systems in one little handheld PC! With webtop 3, it just runs smooth.

So we're seeing the same issues as the last version. I guess I'll have to wait till we can roll back as needed. Thanks
