Question [Q] What do I do if the S-OFF Wire Trick does nothing?

I'm currently trying to S-OFF my Rezound. I have run ControlBear and it's rebooted me into the Bootloader. It tells me to do the wire trick. So, I first try it using speaker wire. No response whatsoever. It try multiple times more, nothing. I switch to an insulated paper clip. Nothing again. No reboots. No nothing. It just....doesn't register that I'm doing the wire trick. What do I do now??

UPDATE: got it S-OFF but I have a new problem. Now I can only boot into bootloader and nothing else. It just hangs on the HTC splash screen. I tried flashing Amon Ra 3.15 but I still can't get into recovery or a ROM.
Current Phone: HTC Rezound (personal), Samsung Galaxy Nexus (work)
Current Tablet: Nexus 7, HP Touchpad, Transformer TF101, Transformer TF201 Prime, TF300T, Nabi 2
Current ROM: Nils Business Sense, Androwook
Previous Devices: OG AMOLED Incredible
Other Devices:Samsung Galaxy S III (wife), Rezound (Dad), Rezound (Mom)

Keep trying and remember it is touch the contact points, let go and touch them again at the designated time.

i remember something like 1.75 seconds between touches,
make sure you make contact, easy not to depending on your wire size

screen wont tell you when its shorted...
it only lets you know if you got both touches correctly timed, and therefore its moving on with s-0ff, other than that, it doesnt blink or anything when you short it, but when you get it... you'll know instantly

You mean HBOOT? I said yes to the prompt in ControlBear. I'm running HBOOT 2.21.2121

if it's hanging at the htc screen you're probably missing the kernel, try taking out the sdcard also. It's been a little while since I did this lol

I would download the OTA (GB or ICS) and rename to PH98IMG.zip, and place on the root of the External SD card.

Reboot the phone; you may need to boot into the boot loader to initiate this, but it was unnecessary for me as it has always automatically started the process.

This will reinstall to stock, and re-lock the boot loader; but will not remove S-OFF.

Unlock the boot loader again.
Install custom ROM of your choice.
????????????
Profit!

EDIT:
If S-OFF caused any issues to your Internal SD Card or External SD Card drivers (as it did with me when I did S-Off; I could not access either), this will fix those issues as well in the process.
