I use Handcent for texting maybe that is why mine works?
Also, no number pad codes work using CM9

JD, is there a stock CM9 B3 kernel + voodoo color out there?

Was running Nyan, but after a week or so I seem to get degraded performance. Want to try and stick with stock and see if I get the same, but my colors look so faded and bland now X^)
Devices:
GINORMOUS Samsung Note II - WHOMP 2.9
HP Touchpad - Schizoid CM10/AOKP/PA
[deceased]Samsung Epic 4G - CM10 Nightlies

How about that Samurai kernel with usb host mode? It is dated 5/2 so not sure if optimized for beta 3 yet.

IAP has a CM9 kernel that has voodoo in it and has host mode too but not like you have to use it, hehe

you could give that one ago (it looks like it was updated last night; though not uploaded yet, as well), pretty much Nylan and IAP are the only "3rd party" kernels that I am aware of for CM9 at the moment.

Most custom roms are rooted and will always preserve root.

well i think i figured out what the problem is, if you are downloading or playing a game. While your phone is actually sending/receiving data it will not allow it to receive text msgs or thats what it looks like to me. Kind of a huge bummer on my part

I'll try this in a bit as well.
