Updated to version 4. Yeah, I think it's valid to say I made a few major revisions... darned boot sounds.

This ROM looks great, I wanted something that looked like Gingerbread without all the bugs CM7 had, fits the bill! A couple things I have issues with though:

The clock text on the notification bar is black, so there's basically no clock =[
Brightness/rotation settings don't seem to stick, not sure if it's the ROM or something else I installed

I had a couple issues with flashing it too, but after a couple tries (flashing odex'ed, then nandroid stock backup, then deodexed, then black lightning) it finally got out of the boot loop it was stuck in. I did wipe data the first time I tried it so hopefully that's why.

I have had both of the same problems as you are experiencing now (but at the time, I thought it was because I'd done a LOT of messing around with my system.) You may need to go back to complete stock, via a nandroid etc, to flash this ROM then.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but as far as I can tell it's not the ROM (the files flash properly)... it's... something else, doggone it. Both of these problems are fixed if the ROM is flashed properly, the methodology of which I don't totally grasp myself yet.

Post black lightning motorola triumph

Is there a way to change the theme in this ROM? I love the fact it everything works, but I like lots of UI

have you tried the UOT kitchen? Otherwise I would recommend theming through CyanogenMod instead... you're likely to get farther there, faster.

Default Version 3.6 not downloading...?

I really like this ROM but am not a big fan of the black and white look of the messaging app...anyway to get a copy of Version 3.6?

Thanks!

Sorry but it looks like I might have obliterated my old copies of Black Lightning due to space constraints on Dropbox

I can probably cook up a more retro version of Black Lightning, or cook up an older version, but beware: In the stock SMS app, things become MMS as soon as you go over 160 characters, where you like it or not.

I would strongly recommend you download a better app, like Handcent, or GO SMS if you prefer (in my own tests, Handcent can handle a LOT of texts with the least lag). From there, boil it into the ROM if you really prefer it (use Titanium Backup, or Link2SD I think, can make system apps into user apps, or vice versa).
