Hi all I have the same issue with OP here. Just want to ask, do I need a warranty card or something to get the free fix, or do I just need to show them the yellow tint?

I got my phone from a carrier and I didn't find any warranty document in the box. Plus, my yellow tint only show up occasionally.

Please advise thanks.

As per my post in the main screen thread, if you bought it locally bring it back to the shop! I'm 99% sure that Australia will have similar consumer law to the british isles where responsibility is with the retailer. Go to them and tell them "its not fit for purpose" and insist they repair or replace it.

Here actually, I'm bored so:

Quote:
Summary
A consumer has the right to a remedy if goods or services do not meet a
consumer guarantee.
The consumer guarantees apply to both major (serious) and minor problems.
The type of remedy, and who must provide it, will depend on the problem and
which consumer guarantee was not met.
Gift recipients have the same rights as a consumer who has bought goods directly.
ACL reference: Division 1 of Part 5-4
Quote:
What sort of problems do
the consumer guarantees
deal with?
Consumer guarantees apply to both
major and minor failures with goods
and services.
What is a major failure?
A major failure with goods is when:
> a reasonable consumer would not
have bought the goods if they had
known about the problem. For
example, no reasonable consumer
would buy a washing machine if
they knew the motor was going to
burn out after three months

Have a read, if the staff in store see you know your rights they'll be less likely to give you the run around.

I experienced that yellow teint too, but the problem isn't always visible. I think I will take it to the shop where I bought it when I have time.

DONATE TO ME
Does anyone know if Sony has fixed this problem? I contacted a seller on eBay and they said that they have received new stock last week and they assume that it does not have this problem.

Can someone please confirm if the new batches are yellow-tint free?
Why so serious?

Has anyone from the UK sent theirs back yet?

I took mine back to the Carphone Warehouse who told me they couldn't replace it, only send it back for repair. Seeing someone post on the previous page saying there won't be new screens until July, I'm apprehensive about sending it back.
