They said somewhere that "boost charging allows you to get 60 minutes talk time in 10 minutes charging. I did some maths in a different thread and this is exactly what a 1.5A charger would give you. I think it has turned into a way for Sony to sell you a £6 charger for £25, because of a meaningless feature.

So, the phone charges really fast, but only with a quality charger, and no faster than any other modern device with a quality charger. Boost charge explained.

We just need someone to test the Xperia P with "boost charging" This will really tell us if the Xperia S has the feature or not.

They don't sell it and wont post one, they said go to the shop you bought it from

mine charger is EP800 and it takes two hours from 20 to 100% charging.

Here too.

EP800 and 2 - 3 hours to complete charge.

I don't know if it this is usefull.. but in my car i have a spare (not sony) micro usb charger capable of 1.6 Amperes output, i never believed this but since i got my XPS i found that charging it in car it's really faster that at home with the standard charger... but both phone and charger becomes really hot, and if i have the phone connected to the car stereo i can ear a bad noise from the speakers (this could be becouse of the aux cable ground is not well grounded..)

at home i've also another Samsung charger (same speed as Sony one) and an old Nokia charger capable of 1.2 Amperes, and also this has the same speed as Sony.

Guys I found a cheap alternative, the osungo mushroom blue 2100 USB charger.

I got it for 12 euros ( German ebayer)
