Gmail message body does not show any text.. I rebooted the device.. twice.

Is this a new issue on AR 31? I remember encountering it on AR 28 I think. I am going to capture some screen shots.. etc..just to show you all.

Yes, this was an issue in the past releases and I believe Existz said he fixed it. You should check the issue tracker. Also, get a logcat or else he won't be able to do anything about it.

To my surprise, all of a sudden it seems to be working again. Just when I was about to do some screen captures. I did not do any deletion of app data or anything. Running logcat now let's see if it happens again.

However, my xda app force closed on me right after I submitted my previous post.

Let's see if it happens now.

Question ... on gingerbread clearing data was as simple as clicking on apps in the main menu or using my "running services" shortcut and clearing gmail data. But I've noticed in ICS clicking apps in the main menu takes me to a similar manage application screen but the only apps I'm able to clear data on in ICS are the apps that have been downloaded. In other words no apps installed in the system partition can be cleared of data (and gmail is included in the rom so it's installed in the system) I'm sure there's probably a simple answer or one I haven't thought of. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

There should be a tab across the top of your screen that says downloaded, running, sd card, all apps. Or something similar to that. They should be tabs that are next to each other, or may be hidden after running so what you can do is press down on the tab and slide it to the left. From there, you should be able to get to the Gmail app.
