Instructions For Flashing Firmware:

• Extract the firmware
• Open the included Odin
• Put your device in Recovery MODE (Home + Volume up + Power)
• Wipe Data/Factory reset
• Wipe Cache
• Take Out Your battery & put it back in
• Put your device into Download MODE (Home + Volume Down + Power)
• Click PDA and select *.tar.md5
• Then finally click START!

The above is same method for flashing insecure kernel? Pls dont give the link to dev section as their instruction for rooting is 2 lines and they assume we hv all come from SII. I've been using LG O3D and there we had almost half a page of instructions on how to root the phone or flash the kernel. So PLS someone can just mention in steps how to flash kernel on SIII ? And pls be specific not just putting the tar file to odin in PDA and then thats it? I've tried it does nothing.

Yes you can if you're sure that it's the international one. (Not Carrier-Locked with a Dual-Core Snapdragon processor or ...)

I didn't read the thread carefully, and because I had seen on some other websites they said we could experience the S3 features before it was on the market on the 30th, I thought this would be fine to flash it on my Skyrocket.

The first result was ... as you all know ... I thought my phone got bricked. However, I could be able to make it work again using Odin and the ICS update.

I did this 2 times and none worked. I was going to to it the 3rd time, but I realized I had to read everything in this thread from the beginning to the very end, I ended up giving up the thinking of doing this. )

But anyway, trying to do this on other phones other than the S 3 won't brick your phones. Just so you know. ^^!

You should first unlock it using adb commands or other programs but we still have to wait for the official launch on 29th May. We need the phone to find the ways.
