I'm not sure which hboot is which. But after I run this, I will obviously be unrooted stock. In order to root again, will I have to use indirects script to downgrade hboot, or just reroot as I have done before? Also, will i need to install the recovery once again? Just for my clarification. Thanks in advance.

Im planning on taking my phone back to sprint that's why I ask. It's my first shift. Never needed a replacement but now its acting up horribly.

No, the zip I linked a page back (the one I originally got from this thread) will bring you back to 2.2 and you'll just root as you originally did.

Ahh ok. Well either way I'm gonna have to root back. Doing it from 2.3.4 is just the longer way.

here is my phone info:

speed xe eng s-off
hboot-0.92.2001
pg0610000
radio 1.08.00.0506
eMMC-boot Nov 15 2010

on Android 2.3.7

I tried both RUU 2.2 RUU 2.3, and both window desk top method and fastboot usb, it kept say error 170 usb connection error.

I didn't turn on the usb storage, and unchecked the debugging. There was no option on my phone to set charging only. Do I need to install a driver for the phone? window Window 7 machine.

Please help.
K
